Biography

 

Professor George Arrington is a 7th dan in Danzan-Ryu Jujutsu and has committed more than 45 years to the study of this art. He has also trained in T’ai-chi Ch’uan, Aikido, Karate and firearms. He received his black belt from his teacher, Professor Michael Belzer in 1974. He graduated from the 1993 Kodenkan Jujitsu Okugi® class of Professors Sig Kufferath and Tony Janovich and later went on to assist in the subsequent classes in 2003 and 2013. From the 2013 class, he was awarded a Kaidensho (complete transmission certificate) with the title of Hanshi. He also earned a Doctorate of Jujitsu degree from the American Jujitsu Institute. Professor Arrington has trained in the restorative massage art of Seifukujutsu under both Professors Kufferath and Janovich, earning both basic and advanced certificates. Professor Arrington has also been instrumental in the worldwide dissemination of Danzan-Ryu information through his many books, videos and The Danzan-Ryu Jujutsu Homepage (www.danzan.com). He currently serves on the board for the Kodenkan Ohana Alliance and is representing the Kodenkan Danzan Ryu Jujitsu Association at this event.
