Biography

Robert Hodkin began studying DanZan Ryu Jujitsu in 1982 under the instruction of Professor Gene Edwards at his dojo in Calistoga, California. In 1984 he started training in Utah with Sensei Dennis Estes.  He ran the Bushido Jutsu Kan dojo in American Fort, Utah from 1986 to 2014.

 

Bob spent two years studying Kenpo Karate from Master Bobby Lawrence from 1995 to 1996, and is currently studying Kamagong and Pekiti-Tirsia, Filipino martial arts.  Bob also graduated from the DanZan Ryu Seifukujitsu Institute Modules I & II, and has served as the AJJF National Manager of Divisions, the Rocky Mt. Regional Manager, and the Rocky Mt. Exams Coordinator. 

 

Bob received his Shodan in 1987, the title of Professor from the American Judo & Jujitsu Federation in April of 2009, and his Shichidan in 2013.
