Biography

 

Sensei Derek Baure is the head instructor of Touyou No Chie Martial Arts.  Before Derek earned his Master’s Degree in Kinesiology, he earned black belts in Danzan Ryu Jujitsu and Aikido.

Originally received his Nidan under Sensei Carol Harris, he has since earned his Sandan & certificate of Proficiency in Shinjin No Maki under the tutelage of Sensei Chris Peterson and Prof. James Muro.

In the 15 years he’s trained in martial arts, Sensei Baure won many awards and medals. His most honored ones include being awarded the Triple Crown recipient, National Sports Jujitsu Champion, National Jujitsu Kata Champion, and including being one the youngest recipients for “Instructor of the Year” award, and all before he turned 35.
